Sami, I do this in 7.1 -- My menu is a separate database from the application. When they click on a menu action, I merely disc and conn to the the main app. When they finish their app, I disc the main and conn back to the menu database. I did this because they always like to leave the database open even when thet go to lunch and breaks. So if something should happen power loss or ...... there is less chance for corruption. Unless you mean to have both databases open at the same time. Then can't you just attach them.
