Thom,

Any custom DLL (used as UDF/WinUDF) or RBL (used as PLUGIN)
designed in compliance with R:BASE 7.x specifications should
have no problem communicating with any ports, including COM
or USB.

For complete details, please contact RBTI Support Team.

Would you like to see a demo of live applications using COM
ports to communicate with Barcode Readers and USB ports to
communicate with Scanning Devices such as Scanners or Digital
Devices such as Digital Cameras?

A few applications are scheduled to be demonstrated at the
Fall 2004 R:BASE Developers' Conference in October.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.

Would a .DLL that controls the com port work? How does rbase control
the serial bar code readers.
