Several questions about the BLOB editor.  I suspect some of these will need to be enhancement requests, but maybe I am just missing something.

I am using the editor to load a file into a field located on a form.  It works OK, except it takes a lot of mouse clicks to do what I need.

I have a great looking app using using this and the editor is a weak point.  When loading dozens of photos at one sitting, it gets to be pretty tedious and difficult by R:Base standards.

1.  Is there a way to set a default directory to load a file from?  It always defaults to the database directory.  Then you have to reset it to see thumbnails - it always defaults to a filename.

2.  I found a way to lasso and crop an image in this.  But first you have to go to VIEW/MOUSE MODE/SELECT.
Then you have to open an image (and take time to look for it in whatever directory it is - see item #1)
Then you have to go to EDIT/CROP TO IMAGE
Then you can save it as a bitmap, jpeg or whatever.  (this is OK and useful)
This is too many steps EACH time you want to load an image.  Are there property settings or commands I can invoke before I open this to make this easier?  All I want to do is click on a file in a form, pick an image from a thumbnail, crop what I want, and load it to my database or manipulate it.

I hope this was clear enough.  this viewer has great potential and a lot of doodads, but some of the really necessary ones for data entry are too difficule to use.

Any suggestions appreciated.
