Someone else mentioned hardware ... I would also look in that direction. A bad NIC or port on a switch can be flooding the network with garbage.
I'm having an ongoing problem with a particular network database which is giving frequent "Waiting for required access" error messages.
I noticed that sometimes this message is returned even following a LIST command. Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing that error -- I wouldn't expect LIST to need much, if any, access to do its job. -- Larry
