You don't have to F5 to the end to stop TRACE.
While using the TRACE command, you can simply
close the TRACE by clicking on "Close File"
button on the TRACE Toolbar.
You can also control the TRACE ON/OFF command
in an EEP using the following technique:
Precede TRACE command with the DEBUG command to
control the environment.
By default the DEBUG is SET to OFF.
If DEBUG is set to ON, the DEBUG TRACE will run;
if it is set to OFF, the DEBUG TRACE will be
ignored.
By allowing DEBUG to be set to ON or OFF, DEBUG
statements in command files or applications can
be activated or deactivated.
Here's how: (in your case)
01. Change the TRACE command line in your EEP to:
DEBUG TRACE
02. At the R> prompt or in a command file, type:
SET DEBUG ON
03. EDIT USING formname ...
Notice the TRACE command is being executed
accordingly.
04. At the R> prompt or in a command file, type:
SET DEBUG OFF
05. EDIT USING formname ...
Notice the TRACE command is ignored.
