If your object is to convert SQL Server database to R:BASE 7.x, then you should be able to SCONNECT and SATTACH SQL Database using either System DSN (based on SQL Server) or simply DSN-Less connection, while CONNected to R:BASE database.
For SCONNECT and SATTACH command, take a look at the in-line help. (HELP SCONNECT and HELP SATTACH)
