One, two, thr.... and the form is up. I can't believe it! And that's the
first one, the next one is one, t... It used to take as much as 22 seconds
to bring the first form up.

I had what you might call a hybrid network. I had recently added an Intel
switch but my computers plugged into the phones and the phones into the
walls. Even though the NICs were 10/100, the phones only supported a speed
of 10. I once tested plugging one computer directly into the wall thus
obtaining a speed of 100 mps but the rest of the computers having not
changed, I believe it slowed down the one being tested.

Well, I was determined to see this through and ordered a GB network, new
drops and a new 3Com switch as well as 10/100/1000 NIC's for all the
computers and servers. Now voice is on the Intel switch and data is on the
3Com switch and I must say, I'm very impressed with the performance.

I was prepared to ask Razzak to come to Houston to fix it if it hadn't
worked! Even though there was some cost involved, I would be way down the
road with my other projects had I not wasted almost a year on this problem!
I can't wait to tell my employees on Monday that 6.5++ is going bye-bye by
the end of next week... <g>

Just couldn't wait to share my good news with y'all!

Claudine :)
