I’ve tinkered with such a report in the past and don’t have a definitive answer for you yet. What I had done, however, was to define a Page Style section with the drawn lines and stretching objects on the detail band. It worked somewhat but I had problems with the line and abandoned it. Now, however, with the region, in your detail band, you might be able to put both your line and your data object in one region (place the region first!) and tinker with the “shift relative to”. I’ll try it myself and let you know if it works.

I am having some difficulty formatting reports where one column may require more than one line to accommodate the text. If anyone can give me some assistance with how to set up the report so that the text wraps when more than one line is required and also adjusts the height of the vertical lines which are used to enclose the text, that would be much appreciated. (My DOS reports handled this satisfactorily with the technique documented some years ago in RBASE Exchange, however when converted to V7.1 this obviously is no longer applicable.)
Thank you.
