*Speed Button* button was introduced in the first version of R:BASE 7.0 (June, 5, 2002) while the *Enhanced Speed Button* was introduced in R:BASE 7.1 (March 10, 2004).

The Public version of R:BASE 7.0 was released on September 12,
2003.

The official version of R:BASE 7.1 was released on March 16,
2004.

You might have had R:BASE v7.x for barely a year, but the
majority of folks on this list (not including the ones not
on this list, such as government and corporate users) have
jumped on the bandwagon since June 5, 2002 as Pre-Release
Beta Testers. They can appreciate the evolution as well
as the progress since the first version of R:BASE 7.0 for
Windows.

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.

Sorry, Mike, you lost me with "the GitGo"?

Not breaking existing code is fine but I can't see where or how
an "enhanced" button's features would do so with the "standard"
one. Further, in this case, both buttons were introduced in v7.x
which has been available to "the public" for barely a year.

Quick answer is that the Speed Button was there from the GitGo
and the Enhanced one came later. Not intending to break any
existing code, the standard one was left in. Also, if you don't
use the feature set of the Enhanced version, you are adding
overhead to your form (albiet a small amount, but if it is
replicated many times it adds up) that you don't necessarily need.
