Try checking here.
Right-click my computer and then click properties
Click Advanced tab
Click Environment variables
Look at the System Variables window for path.

In XP Pro
I need to remove path's that didn't get removed from uninstalling.
Where are they coming from?
In particular, when I installed (pardon the expression) Sybase SqlAnywhere,
6.5++ dos wouldn't run.
So I uninstalled it but it is still in the path.
I deleted everything in the registry that said sybase.
