Mark,
This is the first thing to do. In our installations we had servers and PCs interconnected at 100mbps. Everyone was about the same speed. Then we put a gigabit switch between the servers. Now, users running on a Citrix server, even with 10-15 concurrent users per Citrix server, are much faster than individual PCs (accessing data over the network). This makes perfect sense as any intense db operation involves a lot of I/O. If that I/O happens at gigabit speed, it will be much better than 100mbps. Putting gigabit into the PCs should have a similar impact if they are also gigabit switched.
I have tried running rbase locally and regular rbase also not runtime. No difference in speed. However I will try to upgrade to 1gig NIC's and 1gig switch. They are not too expensive these days, and I will see what happens. Thank you for your help. Mark
