I have set walkmenu ON and the comboBox is a variable lookup one. It
immediately goes to the record of the first letter typed with no chance for
a second letter. Any other ideas?

Comboboxes and Listboxes "Walk" by default. If you want to walk a combobox
or
listbox, you will need to type quicker to make it work...If you pause for a
couple of seconds, the "Walk" resets, so to use it again you have to clear
the
edit in the Combobox.
