It depends entirely on the ODBC driver supplied by AccPac. Most client server systems allow you to attach over the internet using an IP address. File-server based database (like R:Base) do not -- the running instance of the ODBC driver must be able to "see" the files locally (including on a shared drive on a local area network). -- Larry
