[RBG7-L] - Format Masks

Help please: I have a DBEdit (text 12) on a form (in a tab page) for a 
phone number and am trying to use a format mask   000-000-0000;1;_

When I type anything in, the first keystroke always skips to the next 
field, although I can arrow back and forth. I have tried of AutoSelect 
on & off with no luck.  Another text 12 phone number on the tab page 
without format accepts data ok.  Is something amiss with format masks?

There are no EEPs or pop-ups for this control.
