The tables are linked by common column names. If you have two tables with the same column name, but the data is not the same then they won't link. (Checknumber in one table might be the number of the check you wrote, but checknumber in another table might be the number of the check you received.) Rbase will try to link those two tables in the form by checknumber, because of the common column name.
