Yes, LIKE RBADMIN, but without the pain!

You mean like RBADMIN? However I would not like the SY5 file back, that was a constant pain.
Timeout is great I agree but it does not help when a crisis is at hand. And I must confess sometimes I have crises at hand when I have to get users off NOW !

I second that request. desoite the occasional problems, I used to like the little utility where you could bump off users for maintenance, and see who was still on.
I tend to use the GREAT timeout function a lot to make sure things are not left open at night and this helps sometimes.

A nice feature request for >= 7.5 would be something like :
SET VAR Vconnectedusers = (cval('Connected users'))
Returning a textstring of UserID/NetworkID example:
'David,Razzak,Sharon,Mark,Mike'
That way I would have tool to findout which workstation I need to ask to
exit when I need to do database maintenance.

To return the variable as INTEGER, you may try the
following technique:
SET VAR vConnections = (INT(CVAL('Connections')))
That way you'll always get INTEGER value!
Very Best R:egards,
