I have been monitoring the listserv over the weekend just to watch how this thread would develop.
My intent was to measure how long it took to do internal processes at our company. In this day of increasing competive pressures, I need to find the bottleneck. >From the responses, it really depends on what you are trying to acheive. In my case none of the internal processes goes over 24 hours so looking at a time format seemed more satisfying than playing with the math(albeit easy math). I ended up with (RTIME(0,0,(.vend - .vstart))). (with time set to HH:MM:SS) I hope others benefited from the discussion. Jan
