7.1 DOS is a great thing just like 6.5++ just a little better. Given a choise always go for latest release. The work effort will be the same. Do you rember a reporting issue in 6.5++ something calculations on break level, I believe absolutely fixed in 7.1 (It might have been tixed in last 6.5++ actually, cant rember the version number thou)

Subject: [RBG7-L] - Upgrade from older DOS
I have a client on 4.5++ (ha! I was going to say DOS, but I guess that's implied, isn't it?). He wants to upgrade and he wants to stay in DOS. He loves designing 4.5++ forms and reports and is proud of it and doesn't want to learn Windows.
I will make him buy an upgrade to 7.1, but I'm wondering if I might instead just install 6.5++ DOS. I haven't seen 7.1 DOS nor heard much about it. I'm looking for the easiest migration as possible (forms and reports will come over, a minimum of obsolete code, etc.). Can anyone tell me (off list if you'd like) if a migration to 7.1 DOS is harder than a migration to 6.5++ DOS? And does the forms and reports designer in 7.1 work just like the "good old" ones?
Thanks!
Karen
