Charlie, The description in Rdocs says that the LISTOPEN 'FALSE' "Will close opened drop-down list.", so you may want to check with Razzak to see if that's a documentation error or report it as a bug. In the meantime - how 'bout PROPERTY <Component ID> DROPDOWNCOUNT '0'. Also, once you tab out of a field the combo box closes, so maybe you can put a SKIP TO or something rather than using the property command.
