Dear Dr. Razzak,
Well, I revisited that FTE and I guess I am still confused.  To me it looks like you still have to have an R:Base or Oterro ODBC driver in the using computer.  There doesn't seem to be a way to do this on a network without doing something to that remote PC.  This is problematic with  200-300 PCs.   We are distributing "icons" from the network with shortcuts on them to remote PCs.  R:Base is not installed on those PCs, we either use Runtime or that FABULOUS compiler.  Am I all wet here in Ohio????  Or did I shovel too much snow?
In any event,  solving my RTF question earlier made my weekend.
Bob C.

Bob,

Using the latest R:BASE 7.1/7.5, you can achieve the same
goal by using the DSN-Less connection feature.

Thanks for making R:BASE a part of your world.

The BEST is yet to come!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
