Larry Up to just a few weeks ago I run 2.11 with no problem On XP machines. I normally just open a DOS window There I execute a BAT file the set the path to 2.11 Directory instead of system default is RBdos7.1
The only problem I had in the past was when the XP installation was done as an upgrade from a previous win98/ME. Then I did get error that my memory after aprox 18 months was something that one you experienced. My doswindow is quit normal I did not have to set it compatible to win95 So I suggest try it first on a PC that has a clean XP install if the one you tried has not Gunnar Ekblad -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Lawrence Lustig Sent: den 26 januari 2005 14:12 To: RBG7-L Mailing List Subject: [RBG7-L] - Unable to run R:Base 2.11 I have been given a very old R:Base database to examine for upgrade. Unfortunately, when I fire up 2.11 on my Win XP machine, I get an error in the NTVDM. I recall that there are compatibility settings for the DOS box somewhere in XP, but can't find them. Does anyone have any tips on running 2.11 on XP? -- Larry
