I have a report that I have developed for a client that
prints two mailers per 8.5 X 11 page. The report inserts the address and
one line of data in the detail band. There is also a break footer that
contains a zip code count every time the zip code changes. The alignment
of the fields are critical because the printed data is interleaved with the
preprinted data on the mailer. After the address and special data are
printed the page it is cut in half to form the actual mailer. Does anyone
have a good technique for aligning data on a preprinted form? When I
print using the settings defined below the mailer on the top of the page is
aligned but the mailer on the bottom of the page prints high. I tried to
get a perfect alignment by adjusting the space between rows setting but that is
a trial and error method and I haven’t been able to find a setting that
works (close but not exact). Here are my settings….. Paper size 8.5 X 11 Top margin = .2 Bottom margin = 0 Static height Break header settings everything is set to zero Detail settings: Height = 4.55 (11 page height, minus .2 margin, minus 1.7 BF
height, divided by 2) Bottom Offset = 0 Bottom Position = 0 Print count = 0 Bands per record = 1 Break footer settings: Height = .85 Bottom offset = 0 Print position = 0 |
