Yes, Javier. I just now read that message :) I used your technique of SET
VAR varname = ('(' + .varname + ')'), and will use the other now that I've
had the time to read it completely. Also, Sami shared a very crafty loop
technique which I failed to acknowledge around the same time. I've been
getting behind on reading messages. My apologies to the list. Six weeks
ago, when the Oracle db fell apart on me, and with no usable backup and no
reliable help, I made the suicidal decision to go forward with my conversion
to RBase! I'm not finished but the situation is stable and work is
progressing and I'm finally getting a break :)
