I used the RBG7 Stored Procedure editor to copy my text in there. I didn't PUT the procedure there. So in that case, should I RETURN 0 or RETURN '0' ?

I guess I should just try both and see what happens.

Thom,

Stored procedures must have a return value even if only a dummy.  So you must use the format RETURN x where x is the value, of the type specified in the PUT command.

So, if you:

        put blatz.prc as blatz vblatz text return integer

Then you must:

        return 0

or some other integer value.

If you on the other hand:

        put blatz.prc as blatz vblatz text return text

then you must:

        return '0'

or some other text value.

I have a WiTango app that inserts a record. There is a trigger on that insert that fires a stored procedure.

Oterro/WiTango is returning an error of some sort. The stored procedure works perfectly except that there is an error on the RETURN (I think).

What is the proper way to RETURN from a stored procedure?

RETURN or RETURN 0 or what?
