Sharon:
I believe that I know what your problem may be. Most printers, when they
receive a document will select the appropriate tray for it, i.e. 8.5" x 11",
legal size and so on according to their setup. When the printer receives a
document with a non-standard size (6.5"), it assumes that it is a special
size paper that will go through the manual feed tray...and thus...it waits
for you to enter the special size paper and press the "Continue" button (or
something similar) to start processing the job. I get this with both my
Minolta Color PageWorks and Lexmark Color Optra 1200 laser printers.

Razzak,

I don't want the report to form feed on the breaks,
just at the end of the report. I went to the Concomp
database to duplicate just what I mean.
Open report Contacts and go to File - Page Setup - Paper Size.
Keep the width at 8.5 but change the height from 11 to 6.5.
Test print the report to the screen and then select the printer
icon (top left) to send it to the printer.
(Purpose of this size of report is so information can be
reviewed on the screen without using the scroll bar.)
The report was not formatted for the printer but a client
tried it and seemed to lock up his printer.
I discovered that I could use the form feed control on the
printer to advance the report from the printer
but it was not something obvious for my client to do. I tried selecting
New Page on the Report Footer options but that just form feeds
BEFORE the Report Footer instead of at the end of the report.
Thanks for any more insight.
