I have an .eep that uses several Choose and Dialog commands to allow users to pull up selected rows of data for any tables or fields in the database. It assembles a set of variables that are put into a Browse command. This would be similar to the old Prompt by Example in 3. Rbase. The problem is the user must know what are text fields so he can enter apostrophes around the text field dialog. Is there a function that will give me an indicator if the filed is text or integer? I know that the user could just use the tabular browse view and its included commands but a step by step Choose with Dialog entries is simpler for the casual user.
