Buddy,

I would like to use your coding for formatting each field but I'm not to
sure of the coding. I'm not familiar with the CONSTAL, CSSTART and facsal
dialogs. If you have a minute, could you please give some direction on
these.

Thanks
Joel

Joel
I know of a couple of solutions but when creating the csv file the
currency will have quotes around the amount. When opening this csv file in
Excel for instance the values do show as numbers and not text.

One option would be to change your currency setting to

--Because this is a setting that is saved with the database, any user
connecting after you change this will also have this setting.

 SET CURRENCY ' ' PREF 2 D

OR

Format each field

gateway export csv test.csv sel format(CONTSAL,'9999990.00'),CSSTART from
facsal

I need to export a .csv file via gateway. The field in the table is
currency and the output file must not have the $ or ,. This is what I have:

Amount in my table is $1,000.00 (Currency)

Amount needed in the output file is 1000.00

How do I convert the currency to the correct output format
