I'm not sure if this is related or not, but I am having horrific performance with the 2/14 release.

For example, I have a test script (inserts and updates) that was getting throughput of 100+ records/seconds under Update 79 RC3. After the installation of the official release of Update 79 my throughput is down to 2 records/seconds.

I am seeing the same performance problems with non-database funcationality, such as Codelock. Files that would Codelock in a matter of seconds now take several minutes to process.

In both instances (database and non-database activity) I am seeing continuous hard drive activity, even though Windows Task Manager is showing RBG7.exe as using very little resources!

Rolling back to 78 or 79 RC3 fixes the problems. Re-applying 79 and the problems surface again.

I filed a bug report last night, but I'm going to follow Razzak's advice and try downloading again tonight.

Yes. Update 79 from 2/14 is misbehaving here. Unload takes off and doesn't finish. I also tried it in RunTime. I first noticed a problem when I Codelock using the following command file:

DELETE CPMS.PRC
CODELOCK 2 MAIN.RMD CPMS.PRC
CODELOCK 2 Add_Form.EEP CPMS.PRC
CODELOCK 2 CPMSMenu_HS.EEP CPMS.PRC
CODELOCK 2 CPMSMenu_PL.EEP CPMS.PRC
CODELOCK 2 Edit_Form.EEP CPMS.PRC
CODELOCK 2 Parts_Edit.EEP CPMS.PRC
CODELOCK 2 Tract_Edit.EEP CPMS.PRC
CODELOCK 2 Wkord_Edit.EEP CPMS.PRC

which normally runs in a couple of seconds. Now it's over a minute(?)
I went back to the prior version for Runtime (from 2/9) and it works fine.

I can download the update again, but it seems strange that more folks aren't having a problem.

And, as always, it could be me!

Since I upgraded to 79 release this afternoon, I have been unable to back up
my database. My backup file fails at the unload all command. RScope finds
nothing wrong with the database.

Anyone else experience this?
