Thanks Larry I rechecked my form after reading your post and sure enough I had a field unassigned. Last week I deleted a column from the driving table and I forgot to delete the field from the form that uses the table.

It could be almost anything, but recently I have seen this error under the same circumstances when I had forgotten to set the field for one of the DB controls on the form, or left it set to a field in a different table from which I had copied the form. -- Larry
