In this particular case, the ODBC (Sattach etc.) route is not an option
but a good idea none the less. In many cases it should work great.
The idea of controlling the method by the start up file will work fine
though. Thanks Larry, I should have thought of that! Easy to implement
and will work fine.
Thanks again everyone. The list probably saved me a lot of time trying
to rehash a problem already elegantly solved.
