[RBG7-L] - Date Format Mask

I thought I saw a thread recently on the format mask working differently 
but couldn't find it.
In a form I have date format masks as:

09/09/09
This use to work and forces the user to enter 1 or 2 digits only for the 
mon/day/yr. It no longer allows any entry although I'm not sure it is all 
that necessary. (Error- "Invalid input value...")

I'll remove the masks but was curious what happened.
