I have been watching with interest the thread regarding
E-mails. I put Razzak's example to Sami to good use already.

We currently use the mapi for a couple of applications.

I would like to set up an automatic E-mail of customer
invoices. All done in the app with no pop-up box, no input
at all from the user.

App would print a pdf file, then email to address on file,
just as it now prints an invoice.

Is that possible?

Dick,

Yes!

A complete solution and the entire process is included with
Running R:BASE Your Way! (Part 9).

RRBYW Part 9 along with MAPIMail4.RBL PLUGIN is included on
your Fall 2004 R:BASE Developers' Conference CD.

To understand the process:

01. Start RBG7 or RBG75 or RBG7

02. Switch the working directory to RRBYW9

03. At the R> Prompt:

    RUN RRBYW9.DAT

04. RRBYW9 Main Menu | Sales | New Sales Order(s)

Go through the entire process and click on [Continue].

Click on [Yes] when asked for Print Invoice Now?

Click on [Continue] to Preview the invoice on Screen.

Click on [Close] after viewing the invoice.

Click on [Yes] when asked to E-Mail the Invoice?

Notice the MAPIMail4 window with the following filled in
    options:

    Address Settings:

    To:
    CC:
    BCC:
    Subject: Sales Invoice nnnn

    Message Body:

    Attached File: Invoice_nnnn.PDF

That's all there is to it!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.

P.S.
RRBYW (Part 10) bundled with R:BASE 7.5 for Windows also comes
with a sample application to print and send PDF invoice.
