It might be worth trying to create a simpler 6.5++
report from ConComp with similar variables, then convert to 7.x and see if it
re-occurs. Then you have a replicatable example to send to RBTI.
Failing that, I bet they will look at your database
and report and see what they can make of it.

Subject: [RBG7-L] - Re: When report variables calculate These are converted reports, not new ones. Aha... I wonder if it is confused with the renumbering of the break sections. The footer is correctly converted to an F0 as it should be, and the lookup variable was converted to be calculated in F0 as it should be. But even defining a brand new variable, calculated at the F0 level, will not show up in the F0 section unless I change it to calculate at the Detail level. As I mentioned in an email to Emmitt, I'm sure this has worked okay in brand new reports, so I'll bet it's a conversion problem. Karen I have vcustname defined as you have noted and placed in F0 in one of my reports. I remember that I had major issues with that kind of thing when trying to use a converted 6.5 report, rather than starting from scratch. (Maybe because of the break numbering (starting with 0 instead of 1)?? Is yours a converted report or created in 7.x? Dawn |
