You use the drawing controls to make the region lines transparent, not the font color or controls. Click on the region line then click the drawing color control. (It looks like a little paint brush) You can select no color and the lines will become transparent in the print out. They turn to gray in design mode so you can see where the region is.

The lines around my regions refuse to go away. When I click
on the region, the 2 font icons on the toolbar (Font Color and
Highlight Color) have all the options greyed out when I click
on the down-arrows next to them.
Does anyone know why that would be? (this is a converted report,
but the same thing happens when I tested by locating a region on
a new report I designed).
