Cheryl, As I watched the discussion, it looked like a communication problem and the way we each use our own individual 'syntax'. I still will call a Static Text Object a Label. Hence even more confusion.

It is not only not available, but to the best of my knowledge not announced for a future version either, so if you're looking for it you should put in an enhancement request. PS: Something announced for 7.5 is report properties which would allow you to update the Caption property of the static text label in code, perhaps obtaining the effect that you want at the cost of some speed in rendering the report). -- Larry
