Thanks Sami, David and Charlie; It was kind of what I figured. I'm working on creating a view. I can do what I want in a select statement but have trouble getting the syntax right to create a view.
What I need is a view with all the columns of table 1 and all the columns from table 2 whether table 2 has rows or not.
