Thank you A. Razzak Memom for your reply,

I checked all of your advice and the report still did'int print ok.

Then I used a copy of the database I had, reconverted the report from 6.5 reset the variable that needed to be and it prints perfect. After I copied that report from that database to my current database ( thank to RBG7-L mail archive) and the report prints perfect, I printed the first report I had problems without changing it and now that report prints perfect. The $5,398623.14 value I had does'nt come back in any of the reports, now maybe I should do the same thing with my forms.

Could it be that there was something wrong in SYS_REPORTs3 or SYS_REPORTS or somewhere else?

Again special thanks to the RBG7-L mail archive, where I always get good information.

Sorry I did'nt sing my last e-mail,

I converted one of my reports from 6.5, there is only one
break on that report. I have a var on the break footer that
is a SUM OF another var, the first time it breaks I get a
good value but every other time I get $5,398,623.14 as value
and I get that same value on all the other vars I reset for
that report. I tried desining a new report and the same thing
is hapening. I have had the value of $5,398,623.14 apearing
other reports and forms variables but managed to work around
it but I dont know where that value comes from.

Carole,

A few suggestions:

01. Make sure that the variable(s) in question are defined
to evaluate for appropriate bands of the report.

Report Designer | Variables | Add/Edit Variables

Define Expressions | Highlight the variable and select
the appropriate band for "Calculate On:"

02. Make sure that appropriate variable(s) are "Reset"
accordingly, for each break defined.

Report Designer | Report | Breaks | Highlight the break

Click on [Reset Vars] button

Check all variables to reset accordingly.

03. Make sure that [ ] Clear Variables After Printing option
is also checked.

Report Designer | Variables | Clear Variables After Printing

04. Take a look at the sample "SubTotalsAndTotals" report in
ConComp database to understand the proper logic of using
Totals and Sub-Totals based on Variables.

Database: ConComp
Report: SubTotalsAndTotals
Command File: Reports13_SubTotalsAndTotals.rmd
Process: RUN Reports13_SubTotalsAndTotals.rmd

05. LBNL, use "DB Calc" anyway you can.

Hope that helps!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
