Nancy,
Is this what you need?
01. Using the Windows RegEdit (Registry Editor), search for
the following key:
4D5D203B-7497-4789-8A93-0E3A84C7B56E
Start | Run | RegEdit | Edit | Find ...
02. Highlight the key and then press [Del] key to delete
that registry key.
03. Close the Registry Editor.
File | Exit
04. Using the Windows Search options, search for all files
starting with RBENG, i.e., RBENG*.*
Notice the following files:
RBENGINE.CFG
RBENGINE.DLL
RBENGIN1.MSG
RBENGIN2.MSG
RBENGIN3.MSG
Once found, highlight them and then delete all files.
05. Repeat step 04 for RBIO.DLL
06. You may also want to remove the default RBG7 installation
directory, such as C:/RBTI/RBG7
07. Re-Start your computer
08. Install RBG7 using the original installation CD
09. Apply the latest available updates:
http://www.rbase.com/rbg7updates

I am new to this list.
Could someone please provide me with a copy of Razzak's email of
4/7/2005 to Dave Gallup re: un-installing RBG7?
Thanks,

Razzak,
Thanks for your suggestion. I tried once without renaming the file,
and
that did not work. I tried again downloading into a new directory and
renaming the file. The results are about the same as before. Rbase
will
start, but it takes a very long time to get it going. It definitely
kills
the mouse cursor (I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse) while it's
starting.
Once open, for example, if I click on help to see if it recognizes the
proper build, it freezes everything. It eventually responds, but
after
several long minutes. When the "about" screen does finally appear, it
shows
the proper build.
Frank van der Zwaag was kind enough to provide me with a copy of your
email
of 4/7/2005 to Dave Gallup re: un-installing RBG7. Does it sound as
if
this
would be the appropriate next step, and, if so, will it work with my
original discs for v.7.0? Do you think that this could be caused by
something else? All of my other programs seem to operate as before.
As a non-programmer (I'm only a lowly engineer, and a retired one at
that) I
really appreciate your help and that of the list.
Best regards,
Jim Shenk

The first time I tried, it seemed to download OK,

Jim,
That is the result of a incomplete/cached download.
A few suggestions:
01. Clear your browsers's cache and download the
update in a separate directory.
For Example:
MS IE | Main Menu | Tools | Internet Options ...
General | Delete Files | Delete all offline content
Click on [OK]
Click [Ok] to close browser options
02. Download the Update 80
http://www.rbase.com/rbg7updates
You may want to save the file with a different name.
03. Close all RBG7 Sessions, if opened.
04. Install the Update 80 accordingly
05. Start RBG7
That should take care of it!
Enjoy the Update 80 and make sure to have fun.
Very Best R:egards,
Razzak.
