There doesn't appear to be a way to make it display.

On my end, both numeric and alpha character keys work with walkmenu on
using a choose command on a text column with both alpha and numeric
characters. Which version are you running? Tested on 7.80.30421.

set WALKMENU ON/OFF (because I don't find HELP file very helpful ...).

I think I can give you an example:

Dawn
Dennis
Diana
Edward
Ian

With WALKMENU ON, pressing D, brings the cursor to Dawn. Pressing D
twice, will not bring you to Dennis. Rbase is looking for something
that begins with DD. Pressing DI will bring you to Diana.

With WALKMENU OFF, pressing D brings the cursor to Dawn. Pressing D
twice brings you to Dennis. Pressing DI brings you to Ian because Rbase
is only looking at one letter at a time.

There have been discussions about the TIMING of the consecutive
keystrokes. I'm not sure if there will be an enhancement allowing us to
set the interval ourselves. Right now, users need to press consecutive
letters quickly with walkmenu on.
