The way to ensure that everyone is using the same version is to have the
application installed on,
and run from, a server. This also allows for much easier R:Updates, and running
multiple versions
of R:Base at the same time. I am currently running three builds of 7.1 on my
laptop without
problems, 7.1.79, 7.1.80 and 7.1.81. The first until we can install build 80 at
the client, the
second for obvious reasons ("Stay Current!") and the third is the current beta
of build 81 for
analysis and testing.
