Marc, take a copy of the db from the clients and compare it to what it should 
be. If columns are
missing, run the appropriate updates. When you are satisfied, then convert to 
7.1 and create the
show.

You can always compare the structures - I have a command file that will do it 
for you if you want
it. It compares the row counts and column counts for every table in the 
database, including the
system tables. The system tables give you the counts for views, reports, labels 
and forms, so that
is handy as well.
