Victor, We just ran into an OBDC problem with the update command to a Paradox database that runs our real time bar code scanners. All of the other commands worked fine except for one specific Update command. Our Vendor had me run several test programs and found a solution/work around. I am waiting for him to send me the updated progam and see what he did to fix the issue. When I get that I will send it to you to see if it relates to your problem at all.

If it's a problem with the MS SQL driver then I can tell the client. Its just the UPDATE command that does not work on a MS SQL tables with 8000 rows of data but is okay on the same table with 20 rows of data. Regards Victor Hi Razzak, Thank you for the advise below. I did what you suggested installed the latest ODBC driver and official update release 80 for R:BASE ver 7.1. I still have the same problem. The update statement works fine on a small table but I get an MS SQL error when I try to update a large table. It looks like some sort of cache problem. Do you have any other ideas ? Make sure that the System DSN is using the latest ODBC driver 02. Use the latest version and build of R:BASE 7.1 for Windows to SCONNECT to connect server databases and SATTACH to attach server tables. http:///www.rbase.com/rbg7updates Very Best R:egards, Razzak.
