Tom,
Do you really have RUNTIME?  runtime is multi user.
Or do you mean you have R:Base on both computers?
If it's the latter did you purchase a lan pack or is yours a single user 
version?

I have been using Rbase for a long time - 1984, but have never networked.  My 
question is can someone direct me to info on networking Rbase 7.1 or just help. 
 I have both computers networked with runtime on both, the host computer has my 
database, when I try to connect from other computer says cannot connect, set 
multi off may be on.  The Rbase.cfg shows set multi on.  I know for all of you 
this is probably very simple and would like some help.
