If I turn echo on, then I see the error but trace doesn't show me any other command except those that start with RBTI.
I will work on this some more later this evening, will report back.

Make a file BL.rmd and put the EDIT USING command in it. Then you can trace BL.rmd.

That is correct, that is the value in the first field.
How do you trace a form?:  trace edit using aisie where count=last ?
That doesn't work.
