This is not a boast, but perhaps you can notice a difference between my setup and yours. I can supply additional system information if needed.
I have had no problems with failure of the [F3] key to display the data dictionary. I currently have been using the [F3] with the system shown below using R:Base Windows versions 7.1.81, 7.1.80, 7.1.79, 6.5++ and R:Base DOS versions 4.5++, 6.1a, 6.5++ and 7.1. All 7.x versions are started using the -a switch to prevent troubles using multiple versions on the same PC. IBM A31 Notebook XP Pro SP2 1.8 GHz Pentium 4 Mobile 512 Mb RAM Norton AV running at all times (just the AV, not the full bore) Running local for development, Remote client support using PCAW 11 and TightVNC 1.2.8 to a multi user client environment on VPN. The client machines include Win 98 SE, XP Pro SP1, XP Pro SP2 and Win 2000. --- "David M.
