A server went down at a customer and when they got it back up the RBase.dat file was seen as Open or "in use by another user or application".

Since I had to make changes to the start up file I ended up giving RBase.dat a different name. Not a good solution. But would "unsharing" the folder where my dbfiles are located work or would I need to be the administrator and "force" the closing of the file. I guess this is similar to the "phantom" user we talk about here when a user exist improperly and we are unable to open the data base in single user mode.

Thanks,

Dennis
