Thanks Razzak,

This was critical for the customer to get this network printer to print out Work Orders, and following your guidelines below was all that it took.

All reports work but one, and I get a PCL xp error on this
network printer. I thought it might be margins per other
suggestions (leave at least 1/2 inch all around). Doesn't
seem to be the case. In the Report writer it wasn't clear
to me how to determine the actual page length when I set
up a footer.

Dennis,

Open that report in Report Designer and make sure that the
Default Printer, Paper Size and Paper Source options are
defined correctly:

Here's how:

01. Report Designer | File | Page Setup | Printer

Set the Printer option to "Default"

02. Report Designer | File | Page Setup | Paper Size

    Set the Paper Size accordingly

03. Report Designer | File | Page Setup | Paper Source

Set the Paper Tray to "Default"

04. Verify the Layout and  Margins accordingly

05. Save the report.

FYI, the actual page length is determined by the following
factors:

01. Page Size
02. Paper Height
03. Paper Orientation
04. Top and Bottom Margins

After the Page Setup, the white space is the actual area
available for printing.

Hope that helps!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
