Thanks for this Sami. Yeah, I do trace and abort often. But good to know I can delete these files without concern!
Thanks, again,

Brad -
These files are temporary files from internal EPs that should normally be deleted automatically after they are executed. When I find them hanging around at a client site, I know that there is some error within my command file that is causing it to abort for some reason before it can be deleted - perhaps a missing LABEL or unbalanced quotes, or something like that. Once I fix the problem, they are deleted automatically. So, yes, you can safely delete these files.
With that said, I have another thought that I'm not 100% certain of - these files may also be created while TRACEing a file and could, in your case, be left there if you abort the trace before it completes running the EEP.

Davidson Have always wondered about the following, but never got around to asking the question on this list, until now.
Ever since version 7.0 I’ve noticed the internal, custom eeps in my forms appearing in the directory. These files are named with a number sequence (apparently created by R:base) with an extension of *.rmd.
So, today, I moved these “autonumberd” files to another folder and paced through all the applications in my main form. Upon exiting the form, the files were re-created, same autonumbering scheme, now with *.eep extensions.
I think I know the answer to my question – as sampling RRBYWx returns the same result to the directory. Do these files represent my internal eeps and do the deleting of them in the directory “damage” the form in any way? In performing back-ups, should I assure these files exist (I don’t think this is necessary, because I can unload and re-load the main form to a “virgin” directory with only *.rb1 – rb4 files and seems to operate correctly)?
Apologies in advance if this same question answered a long time ago – just don’t recall!
Thanks, Brad Davidson
