Warren, using the Gateway Wizard, I just tested the process...
Named the table
Selected the MS Excell Workbook.xls
Entered the file name
Under Available tables - Selected the correct tab (This showed 20 columns I was loading. This showed a scroll bar next to the columns so I could see all the fields.) Under Available Fields - Mapped the fields to the columns and defined the fields.
Loaded the data

How does the data look that is being loaded. Have you removed the column headers etc. How is the date format being saved in Excel and does it correspond to what is being loaded in RBase. I do not load any data that is using parenthesis as a negative number indicator.

If you would like to discuss, you can call me at 479-254-0056. I will be there from 7am till 5pm cst.

I have not been able to use the wizard to import my 100 column plus
spreadsheet.

I use Gateway and the wizard. I select new table and name it. I select the
format, spreadsheet xls and I set the path and name to the spreadsheet. Next is START. The selection of available tables is sheet 1 2 or 3. I selected 1
where the data is. Now only available fields for columns A - F show and I
set the data type and field size. This is only 6 of the 100 plus columns
with data. How do I get the rest or can the wizard only handle up to six
columns?

I am using 7.5 latest version from Tuesday.

I tried the Wizard and selected new table and selected my Excel file but it
only columns A - F showed up for me name and select a data type and that's
all that imported.

Warren,

Using the latest updates of R:BASE 7.1/7.5 for Windows, try
the GATEWAY IMPORT Wizard option to fist map all Excel data
with R:BASE table and then import the data.

Hope that helps!

Very Best R:egards,

Razzak.
