I agree that Win 98SE is a MUCH better operating system than ME. Heck, 95 was MUCH better than ME! And IMHO, 95 was better than 98, as far as stability goes.
I was just relaying the system requirements as listed on Rbase's website. I do have 7.1 installed on one 98SE PC, but it runs just one simple form for scanning items from inventory. If I had any odd things happening, I would probably assume it was the PC, not Rbase. I upgraded all the other PCs to 2000 or XP when I started working on the 7.1 conversion from 6.5, specifically to eliminate that variable. Dawn: This is interesting. I consider Windows 98SE to be considerably more stable and better performing than Windows ME. Windows ME is the only system in recent memory that I would not use with R:Base under any circumstances; Windows 98SE on the other hand has been fairly reliable. Warren, Operating systems requirements listed on Rbase.com. * Microsoft Windows 2003 * Microsoft Windows XP (SP1) * Microsoft Windows 2000 (SP4) * Microsoft Windows ME * Microsoft Windows NT4 (SP6) Windows 98 is not recommended apparently. This could be the cause of the problem you're having with your spreadsheet importing as well. Cursor Disappears in 7.5 latest version. When the cursor goes over the item to be selected in the database explorer the arrow or hand disappears. This is annoying, as other programs do not do this. Is it just my setup or is anyone else having this happen? Windows 98SE This does not occur in 7.1 or my earlier version of 7.5. Warren
